Hey Grad! Taking grad photos is SUPER fun to take but we know our grads have a lot of questions before their session. I wanted to share a few tips and tricks to help you prepare you for your grad session.
Tip #1 – Wear Comfortable Clothes.
This is one of the most important tips. Make sure you pick out clothes that you feel confident and completely comfortable in. Take the time to pick out your clothing, try it on and look in the mirror. Call up your best friend or family member and show them some of your outfit choices. Don’t be afraid to wear something non traditional that might highlight a certain trend at the moment or reflect your personality. Your grad session is the time to highlight your academic achievements and to reflect who you are as an individual.
Tip #2 – Communicate with Your photographer
This is a great time to talk to your photographer and express your ideas. Your photographer will guide you on the best ways to bring your ideas to life and to photograph it. At Marcher Photography, we take the time to get to know our grads and their wonderful personality. We focus on your wants and how we can reflect it through your photos.
Tip #3 – Think of a Location to reflect your personality
If your college is nearby, it may be a good option to take photos on campus at your favorite hangout spot. Use your beautiful campus as a backdrop in your session. If your session is indoors, bring props to show off your school pride. Whether it’s a few books of your major or a sweater with the logo on it, include it in the session.
Tip #4 – Have fun with your session
This is suppose to a joyous occasion. Make sure to not stress and simply enjoy the moment. At Marcher Photography, we pride ourselves on creating a relaxes atmosphere. We want you to be yourself and not feel pressured to pose or look a certain way. We want you to feel relaxed and excited to take photos of one of the most important achievements in your life.
